Medical giant Abbott investigates two cyber incidents as ShinyHunters and ShadowByt3$ both claim breaches

Abbott Laboratories is investigating two apparently unrelated intrusions: unauthorized access within its Cancer Diagnostics business tied to ShinyHunters — which posted Abbott on a data-leak site and threatened to publish stolen data — and a separate claimed breach of the LabCentral customer portal by the ShadowByt3$ group, which says it used compromised customer credentials to exfiltrate technical, manufacturing, and regulatory documents. Both incidents were disclosed in mid-July and remain under investigation.
