LeakBase seized, arrests made as part of global action

Europol coordinated an international operation that dismantled LeakBase, a major open-web forum used to buy, sell and exchange leaked databases and stealer logs (credentials harvested by infostealer malware). Between 3–4 March law enforcement conducted around 100 enforcement actions worldwide — including arrests, house searches and targeting 37 of the platform’s most active users — before seizing the forum domain and replacing it with a law enforcement splash page; authorities now move to prevention and awareness efforts.
