Largest Applebee’s franchisee says hackers stole sensitive data

Apple American Group LLC disclosed a data breach in which attackers accessed and exfiltrated sensitive personal information (SSNs, financial data, health records, biometric data) between April 8–9, 2026; state filings show at least 8,447 people in Vermont, Rhode Island, and California were notified, and the company reported discovering suspicious network activity on April 9 but did not notify affected individuals until approximately four months later.
