Inside a Syrian Interrogation Room: The Detainee Files an Infostealer Stole From a Military Police Unit

Hudson Rock's InfoStealers report describes a May 2023 infostealer infection of a Military Police Investigation Section computer in Suluk, northern Syria, which stole credentials, cookies, an active Telegram session and a set of detainee interrogation files (including photos, identities, confessions and thumbprints). Investigators recovered 14 files (including Office lock files being edited at the time of compromise), and the report highlights three major findings: an alleged espionage network supplying Kurdish intelligence with photos and coordinates, a human‑smuggling ring run by serving soldiers, and inconsistent versions of a detainee's confession indicating possible tampering.
