Health NZ notifying around 12k people impacted by data breach

Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) is notifying about 12,000 people after an alleged unauthorized data release by a former staff member; a downloadable file containing personal information of many Covid‑19 vaccinators appeared on a US-based blog and was later taken down. The organization has begun contacting affected individuals and the accused individual denies accessing systems for dishonest purposes.
