Power company in Japan fears data breach after losing storage drive containing customer details

A contractor for Kyushu Electric Power copied customer details onto an SSD during routine maintenance on 27 April; the drive was stored in a server-room cabinet and later found missing on 26 May. The company reports that private personal information for nearly 11 million people may have been exposed, though it claims sensitive financial information was not leaked.
