Leavenworth, Kansas cyberattack disrupts city services

Leavenworth, Kansas experienced a cyberattack on Nov. 19 that caused an outage of the city government's internal network and disrupted invoice, permitting, and hiring systems; emergency services remained unaffected. External IT specialists investigated and on Nov. 25 the city confirmed the disruption stemmed from a cyber-attack, though no ransomware group or data exfiltration claim had been reported.
