Six months after discovering an attack, Northwest Radiologists notifies almost 350,000 Washington State residents

On January 20, 2025 Mt. Baker Imaging and Northwest Radiologists discovered a network intrusion (publicly disclosed later) that ultimately affected 348,118 Washington residents' potential PHI, including names, contact details, SSNs, medical and insurance information; the provider has not confirmed whether this was ransomware or an extortion incident, no threat actor has claimed responsibility, and there are no published IOCs. The notice offers credit monitoring to affected individuals and the article also calls out a prior separate HIPAA disclosure error where PHI was revealed in a response to an online review.
