Personal data of all South Korean diplomats believed leaked in ‘unprecedented’ cyberattack

South Korea’s Korea National Diplomatic Academy experienced an unauthorized data breach that likely exposed nearly all diplomatic personnel records—about 10,000 entries including names, user IDs, emails, encrypted passwords, official roles, and departmental affiliations; the intrusion started between April–May of the prior year and persisted until early February, according to the Foreign Ministry.
