Belgian prosecutor probes alleged Chinese hacking of intelligence service

Belgian prosecutors have launched a probe into alleged Chinese-linked cyber intrusions against the Belgian intelligence service (VSSE) in November 2023; reports say hackers exploited a breach in a U.S. cyber company to access about 10% of VSSE emails and may have exposed personal information of nearly half the service’s members, though classified data is reported to have remained safe.
