**Global Schools Group (GSG) data breach by FulcrumSec:** In April 2026 FulcrumSec claimed access to GSG’s poorly secured AWS environment and databases, exfiltrating ~4.8 TB that included 33,088 passport numbers, 9.4M internal messages, 221M attendance records, thousands of attachments (medical/identity documents), 12,303 plaintext teacher passwords and many exposed secrets; negotiations and extortion attempts followed while regulators opened investigations.
