NC: Possible cyberattack hits Wake election software vendor, leaving poll workers’ data exposed

Wake County suspended use of vendor ElectSure after the company reported a possible cyberattack in which a secret password was accessed; county officials say there is no evidence voting machines or voter records were affected, but the breach could have exposed information about as many as 9,000 poll workers and the extent of access is still under investigation.
