Resecurity reports that the EdTech sector is increasingly targeted by cybercriminals, highlighting two groups: ShinyHunters—known for large-scale data breaches via API exploitation and misconfigured databases and monetizing stolen records—and FulcrumSec—which conducts targeted ransomware and double-extortion campaigns using sophisticated lateral movement and public leak sites to pressure victims.
