Korean cops charge teens over bike hire breach that exposed data on 4.62M riders

Two South Korean teenagers were charged with breaching Seoul’s Ttareungyi public bike service in June 2024 and stealing a trove of PII affecting approximately 4.62 million users (about 90% of the user base), including IDs, phone numbers, addresses, emails, dates of birth, genders, and weights, according to The Register.
