INTERPOL-led operation targets growing cyber threats

INTERPOL’s Operation Synergia (September–November 2023) coordinated 60 law enforcement agencies across 50+ countries to disrupt phishing, banking malware, and ransomware operations by identifying ~1,300 suspicious IPs/URLs and taking down 70% of associated C2 servers; 31 arrests and 70 additional suspects were identified, with major takedowns in Europe, Hong Kong, and Singapore, supported by private-sector partners (Group-IB, Kaspersky, Trend Micro, Shadowserver, Team Cymru).
