Capita under investigation after workers hit by pensions data breach

Capita, which administers the Civil Service Pension Scheme, is under investigation after a March data breach in which up to 138 retirees received incorrect annual statements or had their statements accessed by other scheme members; this is the company's second breach in three years following a 2023 hack that exposed over six million records and resulted in a £14m ICO fine.
