UK: Physiotherapist who accessed patient’s personal data to visit her home is struck off

A registered physiotherapist employed by NHS Grampian, Josep Bofill Blanch, was struck off after he used a patient's personal data to message her on Facebook and visit her rural home uninvited with a gift following a vaccination. The Health and Care Professions Council tribunal found there was no clinical justification for the visit; the hearing was held in his absence after the regulator could not contact him.
