Most organizations that miss 24-hour patch window report breaches

The Cloud Security Alliance survey finds that organizations that miss a 24-hour patch window frequently report incidents tied to known vulnerabilities (80%); only 9% of 900 surveyed organizations remediate critical/high-severity vulnerabilities in production within 24 hours while 74% take 1–7 days; and 82% lack real-time visibility into AI runtime behavior, highlighting that AI-driven application dynamics and faster exploitation timelines make rapid vulnerability prioritization and remediation a central application-security challenge.
