A global law enforcement operation codenamed "Phobos Aetor" targeted the Phobos ransomware group, resulting in four arrests in Phuket, Thailand, and seizure of the 8Base dark web sites; authorities confiscated laptops, smartphones, and cryptocurrency wallets for forensic analysis. The suspects, two men and two women of European origin, are accused of extorting approximately $16,000,000 in Bitcoin from over 1,000 victims worldwide.
