Lessons We Haven’t Learned From the Kaseya Breach

This article reviews the 2021 Kaseya supply-chain ransomware incident and distills three key lessons for organizations: strengthen supply-chain security hygiene (including vendor patching and supplier reduction), adopt holistic risk management and visibility, and rely on skilled human analysts to interpret detection tools and complete the ‘‘last mile’’ of incident response.
