AI Anti-Phishing Protection: Defending Against Smarter Threats

This article outlines the emergence of AI-enabled phishing—how machine learning and chatbots enhance ordinary phishing and highly targeted spearphishing by scaling reconnaissance and impersonation—and surveys defensive responses including AI-based detection, impersonation profiling, simulation, and proactive programs like DARPA/BAE’s CHASE to hunt and repel such attacks.
