Cybersecurity in the Age of Instant Software

This essay examines how rapidly improving AI capabilities—especially around automatically generating and analyzing "instant software"—could transform cybersecurity by enabling automated vulnerability discovery and patching, creating both defensive advantages (self-healing networks, coordinated patch sharing) and new risks (attacks on legacy/IoT systems, poisoning of defensive AIs, and social-engineering/up-the-stack attacks).
