Most of 2023’s Top Exploited Vulnerabilities Were Zero-Days

The Five Eyes reported that in 2023 malicious actors increasingly leveraged zero-day vulnerabilities to compromise enterprise networks, with the majority of top exploited flaws first used as zero-days. The advisory highlights that attackers gain most value from vulnerabilities within two years of public disclosure and that reducing the lifespan of zero-days through coordinated cybersecurity efforts can limit their utility.
