Cybersecurity Mission Creep in the US

This academic article argues that "cybersecuritization"—the tendency to reframe varied public-policy problems as cybersecurity threats—is expanding and produces reductive governance, urgency-driven decision-making, and deference to specialists; the paper offers a framework for analyzing and critiquing this trend and warns of the political and legitimacy costs if it continues.
