Reverse-Engineering Flock Cameras

Researchers/hackers recovered a seized Flock ALPR camera and analyzed its software and logs, finding that the device detects people, vehicles, license plates, bicycles and even small graphics; one unencrypted partition contained the key to an encrypted partition, allowing access to over a million images and sensitive data, highlighting poor security engineering and significant privacy exposure.
