Beyond Acceleration and Automation: How AI + Intelligence Changes Cyber Defense

This memo argues that the convergence of AI and threat intelligence enables qualitatively new defensive capabilities — continuous, environment-specific mapping of attacker TTPs, predictive patch and detection prioritization, reasoning over context at scale, continuous attack-path modelling, and adaptive deception that can both mislead attackers and collect active intelligence — and warns of governance, adversarial, and operational risks while noting that AI lowers the barrier to intelligence-driven defense.
