Russian Missile Identified in Kyiv Children’s Hospital Attack

Bellingcat’s open-source investigation concludes that the missile which struck Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital on July 8 was a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile, based on video analysis, 3D model overlays, and debris matching that were geolocated to the site. The report compares observed features, such as the rear jet engine and mid-body wings, against Kh-101 characteristics and refutes claims that the weapon was a US AIM-120. It also tracks how pro-Russian outlets amplified disinformation about the incident amid a broader missile barrage across Ukraine.
