Bellingcat’s investigation—supported by its Discord community—geolocated more than ten additional venues streaming amateur sports to 1xBet across Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, and India, spanning short football, basketball, ice hockey, and warehouse cricket; researchers used reverse image searches, social media posts, mapping platforms (Yandex/Google), and a shadow analysis tool to verify locations. While many venues denied connections and 1xBet issued a broad compliance statement, the findings indicate a large, round-the-clock ecosystem of amateur leagues leveraged for betting with opaque sourcing and uncertain legal compliance.
