OpenDream Claims to be an AI Art Platform. But Its Users Generated Child Sexual Abuse Material

Bellingcat investigates OpenDream, an AI image generator that for months publicly exposed AI-generated child sexual abuse material and non-consensual deepfakes, monetized through subscriptions, Google AdSense, and Stripe despite policies prohibiting such content. The report traces ownership and operational links to Singapore-based CBM Media Pte Ltd (Nguyen Viet Hai), Vietnam’s CBM Media Company Limited (Bui Duc Quan), and VPNChecked; documents how the content was indexed by Google and Bing; and outlines legal contexts in multiple jurisdictions. After Bellingcat’s outreach, CSAM and deepfake content was scrubbed, AdSense was terminated, Stripe payments failed, the site added disclaimers, and it appeared to test alternative processors while continuing to advertise NSFW prompts.
