Bellingcat links the deepfake “nudify” apps under the CrushAI/Crushmate brand to Hong Kong and mainland China companies (Joy Timeline HK Limited, Soul friendship HK Limited, and Wuhan Ruisen) through domain registrations, shared analytics tags, app store developer details, and U.S. trademark filings that also suggest at least $45,000 in subscription revenue. Meta has sued Joy Timeline over tens of thousands of violating ads on Facebook and Instagram, while many related domains and profiles have since gone offline amid regulatory pressure and the U.S. Take It Down Act.
