A vulnerability in Framework 13 laptops allows an attacker with physical access to trigger a mainboard/BIOS reset by pressing the chassis intrusion switch 10 times, wiping BIOS supervisor passwords, disabling Secure Boot, and clearing chassis intrusion protections. The vendor characterizes this as intended behavior with no current fix, leaving organizations to mitigate via strong physical controls, tamper-evident measures, and avoiding these devices for sensitive scenarios.
