KDE gets over €1 million investment to strengthen security and core infrastructure

The German Sovereign Tech Fund is investing more than €1 million in the KDE open-source project to improve its testing infrastructure, security architecture, and communication frameworks, with the goal of making KDE's core products more reliable and secure for individuals, businesses, and public administrations; KDE, a 30‑year non-profit project producing the Plasma desktop and many applications, will use the funds to bolster its structural security and reliability.
