Proton Pass introduced AI access tokens allowing users to grant read-only, time-limited access to specific vaults for AI agents or automation tools; tokens can be restricted to particular items, expire between one hour and one year, and all activity is logged for review. The feature is available on certain paid plans and is intended to enable AI-driven tasks while preserving end-to-end encryption and account credential confidentiality.
