Google has extended client-side end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for Gmail to Android and iOS devices, enabling Enterprise Plus users (with Assured Controls or Assured Controls Plus) to compose, send, and read encrypted messages natively in the Gmail mobile apps without additional applications. Admins must enable mobile access for client-side encryption in the Admin Console, and end users can apply E2EE while composing by selecting the lock icon to add encryption and attachments as usual.
