Microsoft Scout agent opens a new category of always-on Autopilots

Microsoft announced Scout, an always-on Autopilot agent integrated across Microsoft 365 that autonomously performs coordination tasks (scheduling, surfacing risks, preparing materials) and maintains context via Work IQ. The company describes a security design centered on per-agent Entra identities, scoped credentials, access controls, and enforcement of Purview data protection policies; Scout is built on the OpenClaw project and requires Frontier enrollment, Intune configuration, and a GitHub Copilot license for organizational rollout.
