Microsoft has introduced Microsoft Execution Containers (MXC), an early-preview, cross-platform SDK and policy model that enforces runtime isolation and containment for AI agents on Windows and WSL. MXC offers process and session isolation today, plans micro-VM and Linux container support, integrates with Agent 365, Microsoft Entra and Intune for policy enforcement, and is supported by partners including Hermes, Manus, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and OpenClaw.
