Dutch police and the National Cyber Security Center removed 200 servers hosting a large botnet of an estimated 17 million compromised devices, an infrastructure tied to commercial residential/mobile proxy services (reported as Asocks). The proxies were reportedly used for criminal activities including DDoS, spamming, credential stuffing, brute-force attacks, click fraud, SMS pumping and malware distribution; law enforcement action and hosting provider takedown disrupted the service.
