VeriChat is a retrieval-first conversational assistant for hardware security engineers that combines literature search with automated verification (syntax, synthesis, simulation, formal) on uploaded design files. In a demo the team planted a stealthy hardware Trojan inside an AES S‑Box that triggers on a rare three-byte sequence and leaks the encryption key; VeriChat's automated checks detected anomalies and produced a proof the design could leak secrets, but the exercise used a known implanted Trojan and does not demonstrate detection of novel, unseen implants.
