Proton Mail brings quantum-safe email encryption to all accounts

Proton Mail has introduced an optional post-quantum protection feature available across all plans that generates new quantum-resistant encryption keys for future emails. The announcement explains enabling steps, compatibility requirements (updated apps and temporary pause of end-to-end encrypted forwarding), that existing emails are not retroactively re-encrypted, potential minor performance impacts, and upcoming OpenPGP v6 support to promote cross-provider quantum-safe email.
