Zscaler ThreatLabz reports that while overall phishing volume fell ~20% in 2024–2025, attacks have become more targeted and sophisticated: AI site builders are enabling mass creation of malicious pages, most phishing is delivered over HTTPS, attackers are using AiTM/BiTM kits to steal credentials and MFA/session tokens in real time, and large-scale reconnaissance from cloud-hosted IPs is probing exposed assets and services.
