Hakuna Matata is a ransomware builder publicly discussed on underground forums that generates encryptors employing AES-256-CBC and RSA-2048. The builder offers customization (ransom note, process name, targeted extensions, wallpaper change) and was first posted in July 2023; it has been listed for sale and the source code was later released, increasing the risk of wider abuse. No known decryptor exists for encryptors produced by this builder.
