Green Mountain Grill Security Analysis

Researchers found multiple security flaws in the Green Mountain Grill Davy Crockett wireless controller, including default admin credentials, lack of authentication for settings and firmware updates, and unencrypted firmware transfer. They demonstrated PoC commands to change temperature, shut down the grill, and load custom firmware (the MCU read fuse was not set), creating risks of overheating, fire hazards, and persistent backdoors; vendor disclosure received limited follow-up before public release.
