Cloudflare announces Cloudflare Realtime and RealtimeKit, a unified toolkit and infrastructure (SDKs for mobile/web, recording, coordination, transcription, UI components) to simplify building real-time voice, video, and AI applications on its global network. The release includes GA of SFU and TURN services with features like simulcast and advanced analytics, competitive pricing with generous free tiers, and a partnership with Hugging Face enabling FastRTC users to leverage Cloudflare’s TURN globally with free bandwidth. RealtimeKit abstracts WebRTC complexity (device management, NAT traversal, bandwidth adaptation) to help developers ship video conferencing, live streaming, synchronization, and voice AI integrations faster; it is currently in closed beta with sign-ups available via the Cloudflare dashboard.
