R2 adds event notifications, support for migrations from Google Cloud Storage, and an infrequent access storage tier

Cloudflare announced three enhancements to R2 object storage: Event Notifications (open beta) that publish bucket changes to Queues for Workers-driven workflows; Super Slurper support to migrate data from Google Cloud Storage to R2 via the dashboard; and a new Infrequent Access storage class (private beta) that lowers storage costs with retrieval fees, lifecycle policy support, and published pricing, alongside links to documentation, a beta waitlist, and community channels.
