Moving Baselime from AWS to Cloudflare: simpler architecture, improved performance, over 80% lower cloud costs

Baselime outlines its migration from an AWS-centric observability pipeline (Lambda, Kinesis, EC2/ClickHouse, CloudFront, etc.) to the Cloudflare Developer Platform, rebuilding data receptors and processors on Workers and Durable Objects, moving analytics to Workers Analytics Engine (with ABR), and adopting Queues, D1, and KV for an event-driven architecture. By leveraging JavaScript-native RPC, rate limiting bindings, and waitUntil, they simplified the system, improved global latency, scalability, and reliability, and achieved an estimated ~83% annual cost reduction (from ~$708k to ~$119k), completing the transition in under three months and launching Workers Logs to support higher event volumes.
