Enhanced security and simplified controls with automated botnet protection, cipher suite selection, and URL Scanner updates

Cloudflare announces security feature updates: automated Security Level that merges DDoS scoring, traffic thresholds, and botnet tracking (with deprecation of IP threat score controls by March 17, 2025 and full disablement by end of Q1 2026); a new dashboard-based cipher suite selection with security, compliance (PCI DSS, FIPS 140-2), and custom presets; and a revamped URL Scanner with bulk submissions (up to 100 URLs), related-scan similarity pivots, IOC search/filters, improved UI, HAR/JSON exports, and a new API—aimed at stronger default protection, finer encryption control, and more effective threat detection.
