Cloudflare presents an early look at its global container platform that underpins Workers AI, Browser Rendering/Remote Browser Isolation, and Workers Builds, highlighting global/local schedulers for dynamic placement (including GPU-aware scheduling), runtime flexibility (gVisor, Firecracker, QEMU), faster image distribution via an R2-backed serverless registry using zstd, anycast-based Virtual IPs with a Global State Router for L4 routing, off-peak scheduling (scheduling_policy: "off-peak") with prewarmed images to speed CI/CD, and upcoming deep integration with Workers and Durable Objects to simplify deployment, scaling, and routing.
