Defeating the deepfake: stopping laptop farms and insider threats

Cloudflare warns of a growing "remote IT worker" fraud campaign where organized operators — sometimes linked to nation-states such as North Korea — use stolen/fabricated identities, generative AI and deepfakes, and domestic laptop farms to obtain legitimate credentials and bypass zero-trust onboarding, enabling insider access and data/IP theft; Cloudflare proposes integration with Nametag for identity-verified onboarding and continuous verification as a mitigation.
