Introducing Precursor: detecting agentic behavior with continuous client-side signals

Cloudflare introduces Precursor, a client-side, session-scoped behavioral verification system that injects lightweight JavaScript to collect interaction signals (pointer, keyboard, visibility, etc.) across a visitor's session to improve bot detection and reduce unnecessary challenges; it integrates with Turnstile and Enterprise Bot Management, emphasizes privacy-by-design (collecting timing/rhythm rather than keys or persistent profiles), and is available from the Cloudflare dashboard with a free period until GA.
