Cloudflare announces new AI Gateway spend controls and a closed beta for identity-driven budgets and routing via Cloudflare Access: features include dollar-based budgets scoped by model/provider/user/team, per-request cost calculation and analytics, blocking or fallback routing when budgets are hit, and identity attribution for per-user and per-service cost visibility. The post also previews future task-based routing to optimize cost vs. model capability and invites users to join the closed beta.
